Georgetown Hospital System is one of Curtis Group's longest-standing clients.  The masterplan for the Hospital, originally built in the 1950's, consisted of a comprehensive, 65-acre campus masterplan, which included 275,000 square feet of hospital space, 250,000 square feet of medical office, outbuildings, parking, access and landscaping.  Overall, the site is oriented to maximize access, wayfinding, views, and visibility to major thoroughfares.  It also works with the existing topographic and site conditions.  Site planning included the planned future expansion of the hospital, and future medical office and outpatient buildings.  Environmental issues considered in the planning process were stormwater management, wetland mitigation and protection of the 20 surrounding acres of natural buffer areas.
